SOCIAL MINISTRY
The Social Ministry Committee answers the call of the gospel to meet the physical needs of others through intentional outreach in the local community and the world. Social Ministry serves locally by providing Bingo prizes for Mountain View Nursing Home residents, serving at Second Presbyterian's Soup Kitchen, collecting school supplies for The Haven and the Spartanburg Children Shelter, helping provide Thanksgiving meals for needy people in Spartanburg County, collecting eyeglasses for the Lion's Club, and participating in local Habitat for Humanity and Angel Tree projects. The committee serves global efforts to alleviate hunger and need by raising money for Project Heifer.
