Sunday School for Children
The Christian Education program at
St. John’s supports a catechetical
program for 6th, 7th and 8th graders, daytime Vacation Bible School
for a full week each summer, and year-round Sunday school classes with
curriculum and classes for all ages and faith journeys.
Each Sunday morning children in the nursery
through the fourth grade come together for the first 15 minutes or
Sunday School for songs and prayer. They then are led to their respective
classes. Classes offered are:
- Infant Nursery
- Nursery Class
- Kindergarten
- Grades 1 & 2
- Grades 3 & 4
- Grades 5 & 6
- Grades 7 & 8
- Grades 9 - 12
Materials
are chosen for each class which are age appropriate and presented
in such a way that faith development becomes "real" for each
student. Parents will find that the learning that happens within
each class has real life applications for the students, whether
at home, school or play.
Sunday School for Adults

BIBLE! Fellowship Class

fellowship as they walk together down the unending road of faith formation and
reformation by examining their experiences, situations and circumstances in relationship
to Christian tradition, church history, scripture and prayer.
The Upper Room
This class of folks in the middle of life
and experience provides a loving, safe environment for members to challenge,
encourage and comfort one another as they seek guidance, direction and answers to life's
many challenges through scripture, prayer and reflection on resources within the disciplines
of science, literature, music, drama and art.
Women's Bible Study
This class is opened to all interested persons
even though materials are selected for women's interest. Ladies of all ages;
single, married; looking for continuing Bible study are encouraged to join us.
Our class is downstairs across from the "ole kitchen".
Growing In Grace

in prayer and cae. Each week, using Augsburg Fortress materials, they study a
section of the Bible. With increased understanding and knowledge, their faith
grows, making them stronger witnesses of the gospel.

period. This class caters to newcomers to the church who wish to learn
more about Saint John's , Lutheranism or the Church in general. However, members
seeking to brush up on their knowledge of any of the above are also welcome.
Contemporary Discussion
Explore the headlines of the day's paper and current
events with this class as they ask the question, "What is it that God would have
us do or be within today's world as we live in and our of our faith?"
